Caring for your Candles

Life is short, light the candle.

The Do’s and Don’ts of Candles.

Coconut soy wax candles are a luxurious and sustainable way to add a touch of ambiance to your home. However, they do require a little extra care compared to candles made from other waxes. Following these simple tips, you can ensure your candles burn evenly and last for months.

Now that you’re ready to take part in your Sassy Rituals experience be sure you can burn this candle for long enough to allow the wax to melt all the way to the edges on the first burn.

This is the most important thing you can do to ensure that your soy wax candle burns evenly. When you first light your candle, let it burn for at least 3-4 hours or until the wax has melted all the way to the edges of the jar. This will create a “memory” in the wax so that it will burn evenly on future burns.

If you have tunneling – where wax on the edge of your jar isn’t burning – you can try the aluminum foil method or place it beneath a candle lamp. When you relight your candle, pay attention to the flame; when you do this, make sure that your candle continues to burn properly – extinguish it and remove any excess wax if something looks wrong. Trust your first instinct when assessing the situation!

Please review the following guidelines to extend the life of your candle and enjoy a clean, even burn.

Do
